The third-generation Macintosh LC brought a 25 MHz Motorola 68030 with a true 32-bit data path to Apple's affordable colour line, a major leap over the 16 MHz LC II it replaced. Aimed squarely at home and education users, it packed a compact 'pizza box' design that was famously easy to open and upgrade.
