The Quadra 605 was Apple's least expensive Mac when it launched in October 1993, and the cheapest Quadra ever sold. Business users got the same 25 MHz 68LC040 logic board that powered the LC 475 and Performa 475, wrapped in a slightly different case. It proved one affordable design could serve education, home and business alike.
