Macintosh SE FDHD
The SE brought an internal hard drive slot and a cleaner, more professional design. FDHD refers to the high-density 1.44 MB SuperDrive.SE
The SE was the first Mac with an internal expansion slot — and the first to have a fan.SE
The Macintosh SE (1987) refined the original compact Mac design, adding an internal hard-drive bay and a Processor Direct Slot (PDS) for expansion. The SE FDHD (1989) version upgraded the floppy drive to the 1.44 MB "SuperDrive", which could also read MS-DOS and OS/2 disks. It remained a 68000-based, 9-inch monochrome all-in-one, bridging the original Macintosh and the 68030 era.
