The Mac Pro (Mid 2012) was the final iteration of the classic aluminium tower Mac Pro (model identifier MacPro5,1). It shipped with up to two 6-core Intel Xeon 'Westmere' processors for 12 cores, and remains a favourite among audio and video professionals thanks to its four PCIe slots and four internal drive bays. The example in this collection is fitted with a pair of 3.46 GHz Xeon X5690 processors — a popular aftermarket upgrade — making it the most powerful of the 'cheese grater' Mac Pros.
