The AppleDesign Keyboard (model M2980) succeeded the Apple Extended Keyboard II in 1994 as Apple's cost-reduced full-size ADB keyboard. It kept the 105-key layout but switched to quieter rubber-dome switches, a lighter flattened case and a single ADB port with a permanently attached cable, retailing at about US$99. Bundled with many consumer Macintosh models, it became the classic companion of the 'pizza-box' Performa and Quadra-era Macs.
