Apple Desktop Bus Keyboard
The original ADB keyboard, introduced with the Macintosh SE and II — a wide, low-profile board.
It introduced the Apple Desktop Bus — the daisy-chain port Apple used until USB arrived.
The Apple Desktop Bus Keyboard (model M0116) was Apple's first Mac keyboard to use the Apple Desktop Bus, the proprietary bit-serial bus that debuted on the Apple IIGS in 1986. Introduced alongside the Macintosh SE and Macintosh II in March 1987, its wide, low-profile Snow White design was the first Mac-compatible keyboard with Escape and Control keys, and it was the first keyboard Apple sold separately from the computer. It used Alps mechanical key switches and offered a second ADB port so the mouse could be daisy-chained through it.Apple Desktop Bus
