The iPhone 5S, released on September 20, 2013, was the world's first smartphone with a 64-bit processor — the Apple A7 — which Apple said was up to twice as fast as the previous A6 at CPU and graphics tasks. It also introduced Touch ID, a fingerprint sensor built into the home button, which became one of the most influential security features in mobile devices.
